Recently opened, we share a determined and exciting future where you can experience success and progress to university or work. DAA is a friendly and open academy that creates an atmosphere of learning and achievement. Staying on to continue your education has many advantages. You will need higher qualifications if you want to go on to university. In the workplace, graduates command considerably higher salaries than non-graduates. They also have greater opportunities for further training and for promotion to senior levels of the organisations in which they work. We cater for 240 students and are big enough to create a lively and stimulating atmosphere and to offer a good range of courses, but small enough for students to get a supportive personalised approach that will prepare you both intellectually and emotionally for your future pathway. You will needs skills for a rapidly changing work-place that requires people who are able to adapt, be resourceful, innovate, have quality inter-personal skills and work effectively in teams. Remaining in education is therefore a really good investment in your future. DAA offers a wide range of courses at level 1 (GCSE D-G), level 2 (GCSE A*-C) and Level 3 (Advanced study) including the Sciences, Arts, Humanities, Business and ICT. As you near the end of Year 11, you are faced with a range of choices including employment, training, or continuing your studies elsewhere. A and AS Level Results will be released on Thursday 19th August 2010.Year 13 can collect results from 8am and Year 12 can collect results from 10am.
GCSE Results will be released on Tuesday 24th August 2010. Year 11 & 12 students can collect results from 9am and Year 10 students can collect results from 11am onwards. Results not collected by midday will be posted out.
