Boxing - Contender Am-Box is a fun way of promoting the link between good health, behaviour and achievement, together with the very best of non-contact boxing.  Both the Key Stage 3 and 4/5 programme is led by Femi Fehintola who is a professional fighter from Bradford, supported by Mr Iqbal and Mr French.  Sessions will run on Mondays and Wednesdays at 3.20pm to 4.20pm in the Girls Gym.

Ballroom Dancing.  All students and staff welcome. Dance is a great non-competitive way to improve fitness.  Ballroom and Latin American dance can be enjoyed by anyone of any age, and through this can help to break down the barrier between girls and boys, young and old.  Ballroom requires a certain level of etiquette and manners and promotes communication between youngsters and adults.  The programme is led by Andrew Carruthers who is the Principal Teacher at the Windsor School of Dance (Girlington), supported by Miss Castleden and Miss Densmore.  Each session will run on a Wednesday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm in the Main Hall.

 

Street Dance Club.  All students welcome every Monday 3.20-4.30pm in the girls' gym with Emma from 'Dance for life'.  Please see Miss Preece for further info.  The street dance club are currently preparing for a demonstration routine which will take place in Saltaire.

Rugby Club.  Friday 1.00-1.40pm Coaches:  Dwain from 'Bradford Bulls'and Mr Syrett.  The rugby club are training for the Year 9 rugby tournament which will take place at the end of March at St Bedes School.  

Table Tennis Club.   Wednesday 1.00 - 1.40pm with Mr Page & Fast Bats Coach in the small hall.

 

Ladies Only Swimming. Thursday 3.20 -4.30pm, Miss Preece & Miss Densmore at the Rhodesway Swimming Pool.

 

Food Club. Do you love to cook? Could you be the next James Martin? If so, you should be in the Food club! This is held every Wednesday, 3.30-4.30pm, in B5 with Miss Summers. We cook a variety of food, including chocolate brownies, iced cupcakes, strudels and much, much more! If you are interested in joining please speak to Miss Summers.

A and AS Level Results will be released on Thursday 19th August 2010.
Year 13 can collect results from 8am and Year 12 can collect results from 10am.
GCSE Results will be released on Tuesday 24th August 2010. Year 11 & 12 students can collect results from 9am and Year 10 students can collect results from 11am onwards. Results not collected by midday will be posted out.

Staff and students are busy preparing the production of our first musical ' Little Shop of Horrors'. Performance dates are 13th - 15th July at 7.00pm. Tickets are available from the Academy. Please give your support and celebrate our achievement with us.
