Jill Atkins-Mackley

Vice Principal

Jill joined the team at Dixons Allerton in September 2019 as Vice Principal having successfully had impact within two other academy trusts in Wakefield and Leeds in a senior leadership capacity.

With a distinct passion for Sport, it was always her ambition to be a PE teacher. She studied at a specialist Physical Education College in Liverpool and qualified with an honours degree before taking up her first teaching post in Leeds.

Her determination to be successful in sport led to her captaining England and Great Britain in hockey and she has had the honour of participating in three Olympic Games, winning an Olympic bronze medal.

In addition to her teaching experience, Jill has had several years of experience as an international manager within the sports industry which afforded her the opportunity to travel worldwide developing the areas of business she was responsible for and gaining valuable leadership experience in an alternative sector.

Jill is passionate about all students having the opportunity to achieve and be successful irrespective of their background. She is committed to supporting students in the development of good moral principles, in achieving exceptional outcomes and enabling ambitious life choices.
