The Bridge Learning Commons

The Bridge Learning Commons is a central space that brings together resources, expertise, new technologies and services.

Our aim is to improve student success, stimulate creativity and support the curriculum. We support virtual and experimental learning 24/7 for our community through a physical space and a digital presence through OWL. We are a place to conduct and receive assistance with research, engage in collaborative work, create and display projects, debate and perform. We recognise the changes in information, media and technology and want to work with our students to embrace these changes to support their learning and help them to become 21st Century learners.

Opening hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm

Study Support Staff are always available to help with class work and homework. We also have access to a wide range of books, journals, magazines & online resources. Laptops, ipads, cameras, & collaborative stations are all available to support learning.

I spent a few hours with Y10 students from yesterday, telling them about Chemistry degrees. We talked about chemistry in the environment, in medical technologies, in cancer therapy, in space and in forensics. Apparently they had a fantastic time, and so did I! @UoBChem
