Boys’ football – Dixons Cup Success
Posted 29th September 2026
It has been an outstanding campaign for our Year 9, 10 and 11 boys’ football teams in the Dixons Cup, with all three teams completing their respective competitions unbeaten across a combined 16 fixtures.
Our Year 11 boys were crowned Dixons Cup Champions after finishing top of the table with 12 points, ahead of Dixons Unity on 10 points. The team recorded three wins and three draws, completing the entire competition without defeat. It was an excellent campaign and a fitting way for the students to finish their final Dixons Cup football competition.
The Year 10 boys secured an impressive runners-up finish, narrowly missing out on top spot to DCA. They collected nine points from five games and, despite several closely contested draws, remained unbeaten throughout. The team showed particular resilience in their final fixture against DKA, securing the result they needed to confirm second place despite being without a key player.
Completing an excellent set of results, our Year 9 boys were also crowned Dixons Cup Champions. Across their five fixtures, the team recorded two wins and three draws, demonstrating consistency, determination and resilience to finish top of the competition without losing a game.
Across the three competitions, DAA played 16 matches without a single defeat, with two teams crowned champions and one finishing as runners-up. This is a fantastic achievement for our students and a reflection of the commitment they have shown both in training and competition.
Most importantly, the students represented DAA exceptionally well throughout, demonstrating our values of Happiness, Industry and Responsibility. We are extremely proud of their achievements and the way they conducted themselves while representing the Academy.
