Inspiring the Next Generation Through Table Tennis

Posted 25th September 2026

We were delighted to welcome Mark Smith from Fast Bats and Alekss Belski, fellow trustee of the Bradford Table Tennis Foundation, to school for an action-packed day of table tennis.

Mark and Alekss delivered a presentation to all our Year 7 and Year 8 students, highlighting the fantastic opportunities available to young people within the local community. They then put the students through their paces, delivering an energetic PE lesson to 24 Year 7 students. The group loved the drills and challenges and were fully engaged from the moment they stepped into the sports hall.

The day also included two sessions with our Year 3 pupils, focusing on developing basic fundamental skills through fun and engaging activities. It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm from our younger pupils, with the hope that these early experiences will inspire them to continue playing and become fully invested in table tennis.

A huge thank you to Mark and Alekss for giving our students such a positive and enjoyable experience!
